What are the general characteristics of the process and the properties of the coating?<\/h3><\/div><\/div>

General characteristics of the manufacturing process include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Material Utilization Rate<\/strong> \u2013 20-30%<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Coating Application Rate<\/strong> \u2013 from 0.2 to 0.8 kg\/hour<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Coating thickness<\/strong> \u2013 from 100 microns to 50 mm<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Base materials for spraying<\/strong> \u2013 any metals and ceramics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    To date, more than a dozen types of powder materials have been developed for coatings based on aluminum, copper, zinc, nickel, tin, and lead. All of these powders can be applied under various conditions and using different spray nozzles, which allows for a wide range of coating properties. However, the general characteristics of the coatings remain similar to those mentioned above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please note that REYM cannot apply hard or wear-resistant coatings<\/strong>. Heat-resistant coatings provide protection up to 1,000\u20131,100 \u00b0C<\/strong>. Electrical conductivity averages 80-90%<\/strong> on the electrical conductivity of the base material.           Is it possible to repair a broken piece of an alloy wheel using cold spraying?<\/h3><\/div><\/div>

          Broken pieces and cracks in an alloy wheel must be repaired using the TIG welding method<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Equipment REYM<\/strong> allows Quickly and easily repair deep scratches and potholes<\/strong> on the surface of the disc. Further processing, such as diamond grinding or hand polishing<\/strong>, can be performed after the repair.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

            • A crack in the cast-iron block must be cut with a router bit or drill bit<\/strong> to a depth of 1.5\u20132 mm<\/strong>, to prevent it from spreading further when heated. This is the most important step in the process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Surface Treatment<\/strong>\n

              • The surface must be prepared using equipment REYM<\/strong>, using Corundum abrasive powder<\/strong>, until a distinct roughness appears (the surface turns white).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • If a different abrasive is used, make sure that the resulting surface roughness is sufficient. Sand and some abrasives do not provide the necessary roughness<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • A good surface roughness is essential for strong adhesion of the coating to cast iron<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Filling a Crack<\/strong>\n
                  \n
                • Used A-3 powder (aluminum-zinc alloy)<\/strong>, which effectively fills cracks and holes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • First, you need to to extend the edges<\/strong> grooves, and then fill the entire plane<\/strong>, creating an upper ledge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Heat Treatment and Quality Control<\/strong>\n

                  • While the part is in operation is gently warmed by hot air<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
